You will conduct a mission briefing or debriefing to include the items and procedures
outlined in FM 1-300.

INTRODUCTION
The operations mission briefing and debriefing are critical steps in planning and executing a mission.

THE MISSION BRIEFING
In the operations briefing, critical information is passed to the aircrews. If this information is not
covered correctly, it could result in disaster.
a. Normally before receiving a mission, the operations officer receives a warning order. At that
time, the operations officer should refer to the unit SOP to determine the required action. (A sample
warning order is shown in Figure 2-1.)
