Regardless of the exam score, results of all test actions, including
comments indicating which areas were unsatisfactory, shall be entered

THE FACILITY TRAINING MANUAL
a. The FTM, a locally prepared publication, has a direct bearing
on the quality of a facility's training program and its controllers
and is the most important part of the FTP. The ATC or facility chief
is responsible for the FTM's preparation, content, and quality.
Without the FTM there can be no logical step-by-step progression to
becoming facility-rated.
b. At least three copies of the FTM shall be maintained at a
facility: one copy is for the facility reference file; one is for the
controller's reference file; one is for the controller to sign out.
The facility may maintain any number of additional copies for
controller use.
c. The FTM is used for facility rating preparation and remedial
charts, maps, photographs, and drawings make the material in the FTM
more understandable.
d. Chapters or parts of chapters of the FTM that do not apply to
a facility may be marked "NOT APPLICABLE" or used as the facility
chief deems necessary.
However, facility chiefs may include in the
FTM those chapters that apply to a collocated or adjacent facility to
familiarize controllers with that facility.
Trainees shall not be
tested on those chapters that do not apply toward a facility rating.
9.
THE FACILITY TRAINING SCHEDULE
Each facility chief shall develop a training schedule for
initial and subsequent ratings.
The facility training schedule
provides the trainee, trainer, and shift supervisor with a clear
understanding of what the trainer is expected to learn.
This
schedule also states the reasonable amount of time in which the
trainee should learn it.
The schedule also provides facility
supervisors with a means of effectively maintaining a trainee's
progression through the FTM.
a. The facility training schedule shall prescribe those items
listed in Figure 1-4. Figure 1-5 shows a sample facility training
