FRAME 36
Item 19 is the runway bearing capacity expressed in terms of gross
weight which can be accepted for continuing operations.
The weight
bearing capacity is measured in thousands of pounds. It is determined by
adding three zeros (000) to the figure following S, T, ST, SBTT, TT, TDT,
and AUW.
EXAMPLE: S100 on the sample of Hog Holler Intl tells you that the
runway can support a single-wheel landing gear aircraft of up to 100,000
pounds gross weight.
A blank space following the letter designator is used to indicate
that the runway can sustain aircraft with this type of landing gear
although definite runway weight bearing capacity is not available. AUW
indicates all up weight maximum for any aircraft irrespective of landing
gear configuration.
