from this publication, pages 107 through 192.

This division of the chapter into sections that coincide with the

phases of flight enables you to quickly locate information requested by

the pilot.

Read paragraph 5-14 of Chapter 5.

A pilot has just received an IFR clearance (departure phase) and

would like to deviate from the clearance but has not obtained an amended

clearance. Is this pilot allowed to deviate from his assigned clearance?
