(9) Maintenance on and preflight of any part of an aircraft
that extends beyond the edge of ship's deck is prohibited.
(10) Helmets

flotation equipment will be worn when a
crewmember
climbs
on

aircraft
to
perform
preflight
or
maintenance.

observe
mandatory
signals,

as
WAVE-OFF or HOLD.
