INTRODUCTION
This lesson provides you with the information necessary to initiate, post information to, and maintain
flight progress strips necessary to support radar operations in a ground controlled approach (GCA)
facility.

GENERAL
Use flight progress strips (Figures 1-1, 1-2, and 1-3) to post current data on arrival and departure
air traffic and clearances required for control and other air traffic control (ATC) services. To prevent
misinterpretation when data is handprinted, use standard handprinted characters.
