The aviator has responsibility for determining the adequacy of the
lost-communication procedure with respect to aircraft performance,
equipment capability, or reported weather. If the aviator cannot accept
the lost-communication procedure, the controller should request the
aviator's intentions. The controller then will inform the aviator of the
procedure the aviator will follow if the aviator loses communication.
