d. If requested by the pilot, issue specific field boundary wind information though the LLWAS
may not be in an alert status.
EXAMPLE: "Northeast boundary wind two-three-zero at two-zero."
17.
ISSUE WEATHER CONDITION ADVISORIES
a. Send the following in current weather conditions to the proper control facility:
(1) Changes in official weather to conditions that are below 1,000-foot ceiling, below the
highest circling minimum (whichever is greater), or less than 3 miles visibility and improvements in
official weather to conditions that are better than those above.
(2) Changes that are classified as special weather observations when weather conditions are
below 1,000-foot ceiling or the highest circling minimum (whichever is greater) or less than 3 miles
visibility.
b. Towers at airports where military turbojet en route descents are routinely conducted also
shall report the conditions to the air route traffic control center (ARTCC). The report of conditions will
be made to the ARTCC even if it is not the controlling facility.
c. If the receiving facility informs you that weather reports are not required, end the reports.
The period specified shall not exceed the duration of your tour of duty.
