4. APPLY PROPER SPACING AND SEQUENCING CRITERIA TO TWO OR MORE
a. Give aircraft within the traffic pattern a landing sequence proper to their position.
EXAMPLE: "Number two following C-12 on base leg."
b. Set the sequence of arriving aircraft by requiring them to adjust flight as necessary to achieve
proper spacing (Figure 2-6).

a. Aircraft Categories
The separation between aircraft depends on their category. Aircraft categories for VFR approach
and departure separation are--
